Intercessory Prayer List

The intercessory prayer list is updated weekly and is available at worship services and in the church office.  To make an addition to the list or to remove someone from the list, contact the receptionist at 253-6047 receptionist@palmaceia.org or Lindsey Mineer at 835-4319 lmineer@tampabay.rr.com

Prayer Groups

The Men’s Monday Morning Prayer group meets at 7:00 AM at church.

The Women’s  Prayer group meets weekly call Joanne Snyder at 289-1609 for details.

Pray in the Chapel

The chapel between the Sanctuary and Eastminster is open during weekdays for prayer.  The chapel is also open on Sunday morning and is available for prayer, except during the church school hour of 10-11AM.

Prayer during services

There are many ways to pray, we all pray differently in the same service.  Listening to and being open to the Holy Spirit is a good way to begin.  Here are some ideas that may be of help you get started.

Be alert for distractions and pray that God will not allow your attention to be taken from him.

Ask God to wash away the cares of the week, leaving your mind free to be filled by him.

Confess your sins and repent of them.

Feel the assurance of God’s forgiveness and love.

Ask God to make his people participants in this moment, not just observers who simply listen to a prayer prayed by a pastor.

Thank God for the gift of music and for the choir and musicians’ sacrifices to bring music to you.

Thank God for his word, his son, and the cloud of saints that have passed that word down to you including the pastor preaching to you right now.
