Financial Gifts

Presbyterians form an important network, providing spiritual, physical, and psychological care to those most in need. Members of the Presbyterian Disaster Action Team (PDAT) support congregations and presbyteries before, during, and after disasters strike.  This team of experienced volunteers, skilled in pastoral care, organization, and volunteer management, enables PDA to respond quickly to multiple crisis situations.  The PDAT will be the folks coordinating opportunities for PCPC volunteer teams that go to offer hands-on help.

You can make a financial gift to Katrina Disaster Assistance by writing those words in the memo area of your check.  You can put your check in the collection plate, take or mail it to the church office.  There is no time limit on financial gifts.  We will forward the funds to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.  Up to 5% of your gift will be used for salaries and administration, 95% or more will be used to help those in need. We are developing a card that can be sent to indicate that a gift has been made in someone’s honor.  Contact BJ Johns at bj@palmaceia.org to make this contact.
