Series: What I’ve Always Wondered
Scripture: John 13:31 – 14:6
Title: Exclusively Yours
Question: Is heaven also available to people of faiths other than Christians?
Most Christians have family, or friends that are of a faith other than Christian. Although most respect those other faiths, they must ponder the above question, especially if the person in question is a family member.
I imagine many members of our church have children or others very close to them that have converted to another faith because of marriage or other factors. It certainly would be comforting to know that they will also have a chance for eternal life as we believe we do. What is the consensus of opinion among Christian clergy in this regard?
***************
Heard a story about a man that died and when he got to heaven he couldn’t believe who he saw there. As he walked in through the pearly gates of heaven he looked around and suddenly realized he recognized a lot of people. Almost everyone he recognized he was surprised to see because he thought they were totally excluded from heaven. He was about to say that but something stopped him. It was the look on everyone else’s face that was looking at him. They were just as surprised that he was there.
Billy Graham once said that the most surprising thing about heaven will be who is there and who isn’t.
We’re starting a series of messages here in the Connection services that I’ve been waiting for all year.
