History

In 2002, after 2-3 years of discussion, investigation and preparation, Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church started “The Connection” – a contemporary expression of worship.

As a church with a 75 year history and a vital, traditional worship experience this was not created to “expand the menu”, but to reach out in mission to a new community.  We recognize that there are people who are less than comfortable in the traditional church setting, whether it is the pews, the pastor’s robes, the hymnbooks, the ritual or all of it combined.  Where some people recognize God’s presence and touch in custom passed down to us, some simply can't understand it.  Above all we want the good news of Jesus to be experienced.

Purpose

We're not here to make ourselves comfortable as much as to reach out to those who are seeking God’s grace.

We want to speak the Gospel in a language that is clear and understandable.

The Connection is one of the ways we seek to do that as a church.

Design

The atmosphere is casual

The preaching is conversational

The music is contemporary

On any given Sunday you may hear the band kick into U2's “Vertigo” or an a cappella and inspired version of “Amazing Grace.”

You just never know.

Invitation

The doors are open to everyone who wants to find the grace of God or just has questions.

We believe you’ll hear the good news of Jesus in words and rhythms you’ll get.
