Heartline

This team makes telephone calls to people who are confined by age or health. They become “phone friends,” encouraging, listening, sympathizing, and occasionally referring their contacts for other services.

Warm Hearts

This is a visitation team. Team members visit folks who are not able to get out much. They bring a cheerful smile and a listening ear to homes and nursing home rooms.

Tender Hearts

Tender Hearts sends cards to families who have lost a loved one. They also follow-up with these families to be sure that they are okay. The team is set up in such a way that team members rotate sending out the cards. After a month or two, the duty falls to another team member.

Hungry Hearts

The Hungry Hearts team prepares meals for members of the congregation who are going through a crisis or just need a boost. Sometimes it will be a full meal and at other times it may be a batch of cookies or some other part of a meal.

Handy Hearts

This group of willing volunteers do small home repairs and/or upkeep projects for those who are unable to do them for themselves. Although the team currently consists of men, anyone who can use a hammer or other tool is welcome.

Searching Hearts

This small but energetic team helps people prepare resumes and encourages networking skills for anyone who is going through a job transition.
