Dr. Sylvia Campbell, led a medical mission team back to the Covenat Hospital for the second time this year.  She was accompanied by Pastor John DeBevoise.

Palma Ceia Presbyterian is a member of the Covenant Hospital Network.  This network is made up of churches that have supported the hospital in the past and have joined with the Medical Benevolence Foundation and the PCUSA  to better organize and coordinate efforts orginating in the USA for the Hospital.  Kendal Capaz, a PCPC member and volunteer is the Covenant Network Coordinator for all of the USA.

The Network churches are attempting to fund the operation of the hospital in the amount of $150,000 per year.  The Witness and Service Committee has directed over $10,000 this year of designated giving (not from the budget) to help pay back salaries and provide lab supplies.
